Facebook pays Tk2.5 crore VAT

Social media giant Facebook has paid a VAT return of Tk 2.5 crore to the Dhaka South VAT Commissionerate in July 2021.

For the first time in the history of Bangladesh, the VAT department has received a VAT return from a registered non-resident organisation conducting business in the country.
